Building an impact hub for the Cologne region

KÖLN BUSINESS
Impact.Cologne is a joint initiative of the City of Cologne and more than 12 major regional companies from various industries. The aim is to create a growing hub for companies with sustainable impact at their core and those who want to transform their business to be more closely aligned with the 17 UN Sustainability Goals. I led the project from project management through to branding, UX and UI design, as well as overseeing technical development.

As part of the brand building, a fresh branding was needed. The visual language was to be colourful and friendly, yet modern and professional. Bright visual elements are combined with neutral tones, while the combination of green and purple captures the innovative spirit of the impact brand.
DIGITAL BRAND REFRESH
The general concept in UX and design was to put content and information at the centre of the platform. To achieve this, we deliberately reduced common visual UI distractions and implemented a custom user centered navigation experience.
